April 6 – Maundy Thursday, 7:00 p.m.
Maundy Thursday commemorates the last meal Jesus shared with his disciples before being arrested and put to death. Our Maundy Thursday service begins at 7:00 pm in Fellowship Hall and includes a symbolic reenactment of the Last Supper. For many, this beautiful, reflective experience is one of the most beloved observances of the year. It reminds us of the new commandment, or “mandate” (in Latin, mandatum, from which we derive the word “maundy”) which Jesus gave: “Love one another, as I have loved you.”
