The pandemic changed our lives in so many ways. Perhaps the most heartbreaking of those was the way it changed how we mourn. For 18 months we weren’t able to come together to give and receive comfort from one another in times of loss. We couldn’t lean on the strength of our spiritual community to lift and support us when someone we loved passed on.
We’ve had many losses during this time, both within our spiritual community and in our extended circles of family and friends; and we have wanted, almost craved, a way to be held and uplifted by loving friends as we remember those who transitioned.
We will do that on Sunday August 1st. During our 11:00 a.m. Sunday Celebration, we will come together in a special ceremony to honor and celebrate the loved ones whose physical presence we lost in 2020 and 2021. Please note: due to increasing cases of COVID-19 in our area we have cancelled the fellowship reception that was planned for after the service.
Whether you’ve lost a loved one during this time or simply want to support those who have, please plan to join us for this special day of remembrance.
